As you press forward you are not alone, others like you are pressing in to know me better, and the way they should go. Band together and journey forward encouraging one another, challenging each other to deeper levels, together you will go farther than one can alone. This is what family is, they hope for the best, they help each other through the desert experiences, they pray for and lift each other up. As my family I watch over you and I am there for you each step; you can turn to me in any situation, trust me to lead you. Dine together on my word, gathering together to talk about me, pursuing wisdom, knowledge and understanding.
I am the Creator; I have put all things in order and planned for your life. I uniquely created and gifted you for my purpose and plans, so there is no one better than myself to explain them to you. You are in a training ground, a place of preparation for the more, the next step; it’s a time where areas are to be worked on and developed are revealed. You have strengths and weaknesses, strengths have weaknesses and weaknesses have strengths. Strengths needs to be tempered with love, humility, and a dependence on me. Your weaknesses show my strength as you develop confidence to give me freedom to move through you. Life is meant to be a partnership, you and me, doing it together.
I have laid out a good way for you to go, one I know you will take delight in when you follow it. I custom designed it just for you knowing your likes, gifts, talents, and abilities. It has enough challenges to keep you invigorated and engaged, yet enough not to overwhelm you or to be impossible when you walk beside me, seeking my guidance and wisdom. Shall we begin—today is a perfect day!
2019 is finally here, it has been a few millenniums in the making. What shall we do with the gift of 2019 we have been given? Yes, I call it a gift, a present, one in which we should engaged with, for God has created and entrusted us with it. Psalm 118:24 says “this is the day the Lord has made, We will rejoice and be glad in it”. 2019 is a year the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it.
December, it’s here, with Christmas just around the corner and a new year right on its heels. But, let’s not rush the New Year, instead let’s delight in this moment in time we have been given; the time to celebrate an event that changed the course of history for you, me and all mankind; one that would alter the human relationship with the living God, all because of a baby’s birth. What seemed an ordinary event in life had an extraordinary beginning, when the seed of God was planted in the womb of a virgin girl, resulting in an anything but an ordinary newborn child. A birth that warranted the angels of heaven
As the Camp Fire in neighboring Butte County ravage everything in its sight leaving a path of destruction and countless individuals fleeing for their lives, a Friend couldn’t sit by as evacuees drove past our church. He wanted to fix them breakfast and headed to the church with a griddle and pancake mix in hand; another friend and I signed on bringing the oatmeal. We changed the marque to invite evacuees to breakfast; giving them a chance to catch their breath, receive comfort and prayer before pushing on; that was the beginning of an adventure in operating an evacuation shelter. 
“I am looking for those with open ears and hearts willing to hear what I have to say, to take my words to heart and run with them as their own; for those who are yielded in spirit and truth, desiring clean hands and hearts and to live a life of holiness [not perfection]; for one who is surrendered and dedicated to me. Are you one? Do you know where others are? Take My message to like minded ones, stoke the fires of passion burning for righteousness, fan the flames, open the doors of the heart that a fresh breath of heaven can enter unhindered. Today is the day of revival in individual lives for those that welcome Me with sincerity. I have longed for this day of open invitation, I will dine with those who invite me in and make My ways known to them, to give them greater insight of what has been considered the mysteries of heaven. Those who have eyes to see – let them see, those with ears hungering to hear – let them hear, those with a mind set on understanding – let them understand. Those who desire the way, truth, and life – let them come to Me – they will find it.”
I love you, always have – always will. I know I said it before and it is still true; receive it as truth, not just as a head knowledge but as a heart one. That this truth be an inseparable part of you being, that no matter what life throws at you My love for you is never in question. When the enemy whispers a doubt you will with all boldness and confidence declare “this one thing I know is true – God loves me, always has – always will. Satan take your lies and get away from me”
Time with Me is well spent. When you rush around doing all sorts of things, without any focus on Me, it wears you down. When you spend time with Me you rejuvenate, gain focus, and can handle the stressors in life easier. I’m a joy giver – not a joy robber, I give peace to the weary, I am like a cool drink on a hot day; try spending more time with Me and see if life doesn’t go better for you, not that the things to do will change but how you feel in and after them will. Come with an open mind and give it a try.
Ever have those days or even seasons when life is tough, when you’re not certain you can go on or take another step; when hope begins to fade and in the dark with eyes cast heavenward, you cry out “I can’t do it alone!”-
